All of them come with three banks, giving you a total of 24 pots, 24 sliders, and 24 switches to play with. Amongst the other assignable inputs are an expression pedal, footswitch, pitch bend, and modulation wheel. The features here are crazy way too many to do this product justice. MPC Users will already love the fact that it has the pads. Oh and lets not forget the coveted repeat button.. Drool nuggaz Drool!! lol..
Comes with presets so that this can run Propellerheads Reason, Cubase SX, or whatever else your dirty producer heart desires. The great thing is it comes with Ableton Akai Version so that you can be up and running fast.
Do you see the KEYS!!! now you have the best of best worlds, all I can say is it's about damn time. Akai never fails to deliver a solid product, and as always this one has most of the producers I know salivating like rabid horny mutts. You may wonder why I gave quality a 4, well there are a few syncing issues to work out to have the system act excatly like an MPC, but I'll put videos out in the forum to help buyers set it up easily. Top product as always from Akai at a great price Can't judge sound quality since this is a midi controller which means it's there to help to get away from using a mouse to click your way to great music. But the response time or latency is great.
The Talk
Real Talk: Real talk!! there is a bit of a setup curve to deal with, so I wall say this.. READ THE MANUAL!!!! I'll say it again for the reading impaired, READ THE MANUAL!!!!
If you do you'll learn everything you need to know what kind of power you have sitting on your recording desk. The Real: If you've been waiting for Akai to give you a keyboard and still maintaining the MPC feel then stop damn looking and buy this already.. What you're still here!!
